Important Update for WCTC Users

We’re sharing important updates to our WCTC users that encourage you to take action to enhance multichain functionality and improve your user experience for the token. 

Here's what you need to know.

Understanding WCTC (old) vs. WCTC (new)

Two versions of WCTC now exist on Ethereum:

Wrapped CTC (old): The original version of WCTC, and the one you currently use. This token will continue to function for the foreseeable future, and there will be no immediate forced migration.

Wrapped CTC (new): The updated version enables automatic transferring between the Creditcoin and Ethereum networks. We’ve improved the user experience of WCTC (new) so that you no longer have to use the Swap CTC tool and wait for manual swaps to process - hooray!

BNB Smart Chain Integration

We’re also happy to share that WCTC (new) is now available on the BSC network!

Why Transition to WCTC (new)?

We highly encourage users to transition to WCTC (new) for several important reasons:

• Enhanced multichain capabilities: Easy transfers between three networks: Creditcoin, Ethereum, and BSC
• Unified liquidity: WCTC (new) maintains consistent liquidity across all supported chains
• Active trading infrastructure: Fresh liquidity has been provisioned for WCTC (new) on Uniswap and Penguinswap pools

Swap CTC Re-Opens

When the latest WCTC (new) changes, we’re now resuming Swap CTC services, but only for the following pairs:

• CTC (Ethereum) aka G-CRE -> CTC (Creditcoin)
• WCTC (old) (Ethereum) -> CTC (Creditcoin)

How to Transfer from WCTC (old)

If you hold WCTC (old), you can use Swap CTC to convert to CTC:

1. Send your WCTC (old) to the Creditcoin Foundation address: 0x737f5a5B55035f39A6E8a859a815Fd85760625b8
2. The Foundation will process your request within 1 week
3. You will receive CTC at a 1:1 ratio

After receiving CTC, you can:

• Hold CTC on Creditcoin’s EVM network
• Use Penguinswap to:
  • Trade CTC pairs
  • Swap CTC to USDT.C, and bridge to USDT on Ethereum
• Transfer CTC to WCTC (new) on Ethereum or BSC via Wormhole
• Swap to CTC Native, using the Credit Wallet app, to stake and earn yield 

Note to Penguinbase airdrop participants: If you’re participating in the Spacecoin and/or mini airdrops, your WCTC balance will be updated to include your combined balance of both WCTC (old) and WCTC (new).
