Everything You Need To Know About Penguinbase

Everything You Need To Know About Penguinbase

Overview

What is Penguinbase?

Penguinbase is your one-stop shop for all the fun and interactive elements of the Creditcoin ecosystem. You will find airdrops, dApps, NFTs, and community experiences, all aimed at developing relationships among community members while rewarding meaningful participation.

Why do we need Penguinbase?

The Web3 user experience (UX) is complex and full of friction. Penguinbase is our attempt at removing the friction and adding fun to the Web3 UX. It is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. All you need to do is connect your Credit Wallet to Penguinbase and start participating.

Which programs are currently active on Penguinbase?

Currently, we have three active programs on Penguinbase:

  • Spacecoin airdrop Season 2: The next chapter of the decentralized satellite internet saga
  • mini airdrop: Foray into the AI-powered IP universe of cute, minified characters
  • Tap Tap: An addictive single-player game that provides a fun way to explore the Universe

Which wallet can I use to access Penguinbase?

You can use any EVM-compatible wallet to access Penguinbase via Wallet Connect. However, we recommend using Credit Wallet for the best experience.

You can download Credit Wallet here: iOS | Android

Airdrop Participation

What are the participation requirements for the active airdrops?

To participate in the airdrops currently active, you need to fulfill the mandatory requirement of holding at least one CTC ecosystem token (CTC, G-CRE, wCTC (ETH, EVM) or NFT (CPC, CTC-0) in your wallet and connecting that wallet to Penguinbase.

Additionally, we wanted to make participation flexible and give you the option to choose your level of involvement in an airdrop. Therefore, each airdrop operates on a tiered system of participation. You can learn more about these tiers in the Spacecoin Season 2 blog and mini airdrop blog.

Why is access to the airdrops token gated?

Token gating access serves multiple benefits for the ecosystem:

  • It allows genuine community members to participate without us having to employ severe anti-bot measures that inadvertently leave out real participants.
  • It helps us build a community that is interested in the longevity and success of the CTC ecosystem rather than attract temporary participants who only seek immediate rewards.
  • It allows us to offer top benefits to CTC holders as a gesture of gratitude for their unwavering support for the Creditcoin ecosystem since 2017.

What are invitation codes?

Both the Spacecoin and mini airdrops offer invitation codes that unlock greater participation, such as social missions, referrals, and event codes. These invitation codes are exclusive to the respective projects and cannot be used interchangeably.

Where can I find these invitation codes?

There are a few ways that you can secure invitation codes:

  • Keep your eyes on the socials of participating projects: Spacecoin and mini
  • Join the participating projects’ Telegram: Spacecoin and mini
  • Follow Creditcoin on X for drops from CTC friends
  • Join the Creditcoin Discord. Make friends and maybe one will share with you!

Someone tried to sell me an invitation code. What should I do?

Buying or selling invitation codes will result in disqualification from the airdrop. Please report any attempts to monetize invitation codes through official Creditcoin channels.

Can I bring friends to participate in the active programs?

Yes, definitely! You are encouraged to. The goal of Penguinbase is to foster relationships amongst our community members and to bring more friends to join the fun. For the airdrops, you will be able to invite up to three friends to join you.

What are event codes, and how do they work?

Throughout the airdrops, Spacecoin and mini will work with partners and ecosystem participants to distribute event codes. These codes provide additional opportunities for you to earn bonus points in the respective project’s airdrop.

You will be able to enter these codes on Penguinbase upon connecting your wallet. Each event code can only be used once per address, but you can participate in multiple events and enter each event’s code.

These codes will be distributed separately by Spacecoin and mini on their social channels. Please follow their X (Spacecoin | mini) for the most up-to-date details.

Can I participate in multiple airdrops simultaneously with the same token holdings?

Yes. If you meet the minimum token requirements listed above, you can participate in multiple airdrops simultaneously.

Does holding more than the minimum amount increase my potential rewards?

Yes. Holding more eligible assets shows higher commitment and confidence in the Creditcoin ecosystem, and we will reward it with a larger token allocation in the airdrop.

How can I acquire CTC?

You can learn all about acquiring CTC assets here.

I hold my tokens on a CEX. Am I eligible for the airdrop?

The inclusion of your CEX holdings in the snapshot depends on the project whose airdrop you participate in. Therefore, to guarantee inclusion in airdrop rewards, we highly encourage you to connect your non-custodial wallets to the participating airdrop program pages and hold your eligible tokens in that wallet until the snapshot date.

Are there any regional restrictions for participating in the airdrops?

You can find relevant information on restricted countries and conditions on the ‘Disclaimer’ module that appears when you first connect your wallet on Penguinbase. Please read this disclaimer carefully, as it will not be displayed again.

Can US residents participate in the airdrops?

Sorry, the airdrops aren’t available in the U.S. due to regulatory restrictions.

If I purchase eligible tokens/NFTs after an airdrop goes live but before it ends, am I still eligible?

Yes, if you hold the eligible assets in your wallet before an airdrop ends and connect that wallet to Penguinbase, you will be eligible to receive the airdrop rewards. Please note that you must hold the eligible assets in your connected wallet until the date of the snapshot to qualify for the airdrop.

When will the airdrop snapshot and claims occur?

The snapshot schedule and claims process will be handled separately by the participating projects. Please keep an eye on the social channels for Spacecoin and mini for these details.

Creditcoin Native Holders

I hold my CTC in a Creditcoin Native address. How do I participate in the airdrops?

Holders of CTC in a Creditcoin Native address must register that address for an EVM (0x) address to be eligible for any airdrops on Penguinbase. You can find detailed instructions on how to do so here.

How do I verify my EVM address?

Here’s how to check if you’ve registered the correct EVM address:

  1. Go to the Creditcoin Native explorer
  2. Search for your Creditcoin Native address.
  3. Go to the On-chain Identity section and check the field, Legal Name.
  4. The EVM address displayed in this field should be the same as you registered.

Will my Creditcoin Native holdings be shown on Penguinbase?

No, Creditcoin Native holdings will not be displayed on Penguinbase, but they will be included in your claimable amount.

Do I need to unstake my CTC to participate?

No, validators, nominators, and pool members do not need to unstake their CTC to participate in the airdrops.

What happens during the claim process for Creditcoin Native holders?

When the claim page opens, you’ll need to connect the wallet that matches the EVM address you submitted to claim your tokens.
