Creditcoin Network Upgrade with Ledger Hardware Wallet Integration!

Creditcoin Network Upgrade with Ledger Hardware Wallet Integration!

We’ve successfully completed a major network upgrade for Creditcoin to the latest Polkadot SDK. This update includes giving Creditcoin users the ability to use Ledger hardware wallets to manage their CTC (Native) tokens directly on the PolkadotJS apps frontend.

With the Ledger integration, you can:

  • Securely manage your CTC (Native) tokens with hardware-level protection
  • Sign transactions directly, while maintaining full custody of your private keys

Ledger gives you the flexibility to cold-store your CTC (Native), or if you wish to be more active within the ecosystem, you can still use our Credit Wallet mobile app.

If you’re a user, you can read more about the Ledger integration here. Then test it out by sending CTC (Native) to your Ledger device today!

Now let’s get to the technicals.

⚠️ Action Required for Validators

Existing validators: You must update to the latest mainnet version (3.52.0) to access full functionality and avoid limitations in your validator activities. Claim your payouts before updating.

New validators: Environment setup procedures have changed. See updated documentation:

CLI Users

Validators utilizing creditcoin-cli for on-chain actions (transfers, validator nominations, etc.) must update their Docker images to the latest mainnet version. The CLI will not function properly with older versions post-upgrade.

Expected, Temporary Frontend Changes

Due to the Polkadot SDK upgrade, you may notice some temporary display differences in the apps frontend:

  • "Other Stake" field may not display in some views
  • "Active Nominators" may not appear in the "Targets" section
  • "Payouts" page may show temporary inaccuracies

Full details are available in our release documentation.
